Hi! My name's John and I'm currently a 2nd year medical student at the Florida State University College of Medicine. I'm a native Tallahassean and an avid sports fan (to a fault some would say). I'm a born again Christian and the most important things to me in life are my relationship with Jesus Christ, my family, friends, and my wonderful, wonderful girlfriend Miranda (check out her blog in the menu above!).
To say that my interests are varied would be the understatement of the year. For better or for worse, I find pretty much everything interesting and I have a very wide and eclectic (ha! the title makes sense now!) range of hobbies and enjoyments in life. In no particular order, I love writing (fiction, non-fiction, and prose), drawing and painting (oils), composing music for the piano, reading (the classics, mainly late 18th century through early, early 20th), traveling (I've been to all 50 states and all the Canadian provinces), history (mainly of warfare), space exploration, trains (my biggest hobby growing up), geography, meteorology (my original major and primary scientific interest), and sports (I've mentioned it twice so far so you know that means something). As a side note, I also love anything artistic: that means going to the opera, ballet, visiting art museums, concerts, etc.
